CHRISTMAS BALLS!

******Prepare For Venting*****

I just wonder how many people will pull out in front of me and walk out in front of my car before I lose it and just run them over. People are so RUDE! It makes no sense to me. If we are the only two vehicles on the road then why don't you just wait for me to pass before you pull out in front of me and then decide to knock your speed down to 30 mph? If my kids were not in the car I would give you the biggest bird you ever saw and then I would honk at you like the idiot that you apparently are. And then!...YOU jay walk in front of MY car and then when I slow down so as not to run your butt over you give ME a look and wave me on past you like you are doing me a freakin' favor. OMG.

*****Venting Over******

So I started thinking about my pspx not working last night and then I started wishing it would so I could share some kits and then I realized :Duh!: I don't need my pspx to share them, I only need it to make them. When I realized this though it was 11 something pm and I was too tired to get on and add one. Sooo, here is a really nice one that I've yet to use (cry me a river) but for anyone else who likes it there ya go. Enjoy and leave feedback for the maker if you can, that's always nice.

Ok, as you can see this is not a layout but Christmas balls.
It's been one of those days.
She also has really cute snowmen right under these that you can download. So nice!

Oh! Almost Forgot the Introduction!!

Here is my new baby, Gabriella Mercedes. She's the sweetest and quietest baby I've ever been around and I'm so thankful for that. Izabella was a pleasant baby but Evan, not so much. God gave me a break after him. LOL

Run Time Error Pain in the Butt!

I have some great layouts to share and show but my unfaithful, $100+ Paint Shop Pro does not want to open. It does this from time to time just to mess with me. I will try and try and get that darn :Run Time Error!: box and then out of nowhere it just opens up one day. What a pain in the butt it is. I have no clue why this happens. I've even un-installed it and re-installed it but nothing. No change. It recently has a mind of it's own. I've used it for about 2 yrs with no problems until recently. It's really irritating when you want to mess around with photos and you can't!

Anyway, I've been lazy about posting forever but now I'm back. Sorta. If I can get the darn thing to open I will share some nice layouts.

Hey Peeps! Wednesday Freebies!!

Oh I'm so tired but the weather is sooo great right now. I know I'm way off but it felt like the start of Fall today! My favorite time of year. Unfortunately we still have August to go. I hate August. It's way too hot and I always get a year older. Yuck. My baby also gets a year older so that is a good thing I guess. Evan will be 5 on the 25th and I'll be so happy when he stops asking me how many more days until his birthday. Ugh! He doesn't know the difference between 3 days and 300 days but he always asks. LOL

Ok, Freebies.
Take.
Enjoy.

I actually made these a few days ago and just now getting around to sharing them. I haven't uploaded anything of my own for so long that my 4-shared account was deactivated! Geesh.

My Tango.

Did you think I would wait all day to open this one? Not on your life. It's so sweltering hot here that there is nothing else to do but fiddle around on here. This didn't take long at all. I already started the pics last night. I took these of the kids yesterday. Evan enjoying his slinky and Izabella got a new raft for the pool so of course she's got her pose on.

Mango Tango!

This is awesome! This kit was just released 2 days ago so it's nice and fresh. I haven't unzipped it yet but I'll be doing that very shortly. Love this!

It's a....

Gabriella Mercedes will arrive November 18th...and hopefully not a day later!

Free WinRAR Download...in case some don't know.

When I first started unzipping files I was not happy to find out that I had to pay for the unzipping service, not to mention I just couldn't figure it out. Then I was introduced to WinRAR and it was so EASY! And FREE! And I'm really cheap so free is always good. Someone told me that my pc should already unzip for me but I'm slow so couldn''t figure it out.

Here is where you can download it for free and I hope you get lots of use out of it with your scrap kits. There are sites wanting you to buy it and they only offer the free trial version. DON'T BUY IT! I've been using mine for free for over a year.

Uhhhhh.....

You should really go to the PETA website and see the spay and neutering video they have posted. It's set to air in NY.

Yeah, I'm just not sure.

For The Birds!!!! Huge Freebie!

I have to get off here for awhile but before I do I wanted to share this freebie because it's so cute. I love the colors and it would be great with summer time kid pics....or whatever. :o)

Looksee! Grab it while it's still available!

It's has 6 different files to unzip so make sure you get them all.

Brother & Sister and Rambling.

Here's a layout I did yesterday. I love the little saying on there and of course the kids are adorable as ever. I'm their mother so I will always say that. :o) The box effect is kind of different but the colors were hard to work with I think. I'll post this kit later. I have to dig it up and give the proper credits and it's just too hot right now. My A/C doesn't seem to be working well today. Maybe because it's almost 90 degrees out. Ugh! I hate summer (and winter). I'll be happy when fall arrives and everything is orange and red and there are pumpkins all around and we can start our fire at nights. Maybe this year we'll actually get some beautiful colors on the trees. Last year was a total flop when it came to that. I couldn't get a good fall picture of the kids and it just drove me CRAZY!

...and none of this has anything to do with anything. Adios.

Wednesday Thoughts & A Freebie!

Wednesday morning! Yay!! Tomorrow is going to be exciting but I can't say why. I'll say afterwards because I'm secretive like that.

I'm very worried about the brother of an online friend of mine. He's very young and very sick. He's in the hospital and not doing very good. My prayers are with him and the rest of the family. This may have all started with a tick. How scary is that? Ticks are everywhere right now. I keep checking in to get updates on him and waiting for some good news.

I was up until about 2am last night. I just can't sleep! And what a bunch of stupid things that come on t.v. at that hour. I love Jay and Conan but after that forget it. What a waste of t.v. time. And Chuck Norris still does infomercials? How sad for him.

Ok, enough of that. I have another Freebie I found! It's very adorable.

Here is a sig I made with my kiddos on it using the kit. It's so nice and breezy. You can almost smell the ocean right? Humor me. Smell the freakin' ocean!

***Big Sigh***

I've been neglecting this place. I just don't have the time or energy to sit at the computer like I used to do. I'm in the process of closing up MOTW due to the no time thing. The site is slow right now anyway. It always is in the summer. I may open it back up in the winter but who knows. It's kind of sad. :o(
Snagalicious is still up but that's nothing too hectic. A request every once in awhile and that's about it.

Ok, so here's a nice Freebie.

Wow! Long Time No Blog. :o)

I didn't realize I haven't blogged in so long. Geesh. I guess I haven't had much to say. Can you believe it?

So I'm sitting there watching the Ten Commandments today and I had no idea that when Moses parted the Red Sea that he kills his brother! Ceasar was his bro! I had no idea. Somewhere in my Catholic school years I totally missed they they had been brothers. Not by blood of course because Moses was found in the basket.

That's all I got.

UFC & I Am Legend

OMG GSP won last night and it was great. I really need to start betting (although I never will) because I am GOOD! I have only been wrong on one UFC fight. Every single fight I have watched I have called and been right since I've been watching UFC. I amaze myself really. The one I lost was GSP against Matt Hughes and that is because I just had to go with Matt. He failed me but I'm pretty sure he's done so I don't have to worry about him for now. If I ever get insane enough to bet I'm sure I would be debt free in one night.

Did I say yet that I'm good? I really am.

``````````````````````````````````
Ok, now for this waste of time movie I watched today. I've heard nothing but good about 'I Am Legend' but to me it was a big disappointment. Big. I'm not going to ruin for anyone who hasn't seen it. But.....really?
I took some pictures of the kids last week and only got the chance to upload 3 of them. I haven't been online much lately. No particular reason other then I just haven't.
I've added my watermark to these pictures but I don't think that really matters to people who like to steal pictures and claim my kids as your own. This recently happened to me. It was brought to my attention that someone going by the name 'momtoone' has uploaded my children's pictures into her photobucket account. What she needs them for is beyond me other then to claim they are her children. Many people to this who lead pathetic lives and must come online, steal pictures of children they don't know and claim them as their own. Usually they will also be "pregnant" and lose a baby or have a sick baby to get attention from innocent people they meet online. They also do this to receive gifts from people who want to be nice or helpful because this person makes up sad and pathetic stories. They then return the gifts for the money or sell them. It happens all the time and it's just something that you have to be careful of.
I've notified Photobucket that this woman has my children's pictures without my permission (and my account is private) and they would rather give me a hard time so I've decided it's not worth it. She can have the pictures and I will continue to post pictures of my kids online because I like to. This woman obviously has mental issues and I hope she finds the help she needs or has children of her own someday. The last time I came into contact with an internet troll who claimed to be a mother she was a 15 year old girl who was really bored with her life. She was busted by the man who she claimed was her husband (really someone else's husband and the baby she was showing was his baby and the woman in the pics was not the 15 yr old girl but this man's real wife). PATHETIC. He tracked her down.
All I can say is at least this pathetic creature has good taste in kids because mine are absolutely adorable!!
Here is Bella posing with a dandelion. Yes, they are everywhere and I'm not happy about it. I hate them but she thinks they are just wonderful.
My guitar playing boy! I swear, he's going through a phase where he's an air guitar maniac!
And here's the last one I uploaded. I don't even know why I did because it's not a great picture but I was high on Benedryhl when I did it so in my blurry vision it must have looked good.
Horshoes
I've been trying to figure out the best way to hang horseshoes this morning. Up or down? Old or new? I Googled it and now I'm more confused. If you find one or are given one then the luck goes to the original owner. Even if you hang it in your house. You can't buy one because that doesn't work. It has to be a horseshoe from your horse. My horses don't wear shoes because they don't go on pavement so I will have to shoe one to get some "good" horseshoes.
So many rules.
So do I get more luck if I shoe a regular size horse and less luck if I shoe one of my miniature horses?
I learned that in the US you hang it like a "U" to catch the luck. In other countries you hang it upside down so the luck pours onto you. We have a bunch of upside down horseshoes on our property and I was confused but we bought the property off of a Mexican family so that would explain that.
I learned something new.
Jack-Jack Week 7
This week your baby has an amazing growth spurt. At the beginning of this week, your baby is approximately 4 to 5 mm and by the end of the week it has more than doubled to 11 to 13 mm! Your baby weights approximately 0.03 ounces. Most women are ready for the world to know they are pregnant. Even though you have not changed very much yet, it will come soon! You might have gained a small amount of weight by now, but it should only be a couple of pounds at this time. It is not unusual to lose a few pounds or remain the same though. Internally, cervical mucus is thickening and will form a plug in the cervical canal. The plug seals your cervix throughout the pregnancy and it will be expelled prior to delivery when your cervix begins to dilate.
Your baby's leg and arm buds are longer now and they have divided into segments where the hands and feet will be. The hands and feet also have an area where the fingers and toes will begin to form. At this point of your pregnancy, the heart is bulging grom the body and it has divided into right and left chambers. The brain's hemispheres are continuing to grow and the air passages into the lungs are visible. Your baby's eyes are begiining to get pigment. The nose is developing and the beginning of the face can be seen. The baby's abdomen is developing quickly and the appendix and pancreas are already present. Your baby's digestive tract is beginning to form and the hindgut is present. The shape of the talk can still be seen, but it will fade in 3 or 4 weeks.
Uncle Jay & The Truckers Strike & PSP Shares
So whoever hasn't heard yet, a lot of the independent truck drivers will be going on strike starting tomorrow (April 1st). Nope, it isn't an April Fools joke. They are fed up with the diesel prices. I know it's hitting big in our house. Companies want their loads moved but are not willing to pay a higher rate to help the truckers pay for the fuel.
I heard something tonight about the Cattleman's Assoc. also going on strike and they are supposed to stop sending out beef but I haven't verified that one yet. I just got a phone call saying to stock up on beef. We don't eat that much beef here. Not beef from the store anyway.
Ok, that's that.
I've been really sick lately so I haven't done any more psp shares. I have someone in my guestbook who asked about it but I really haven't had time to open up psp and make anything to share. I'm glad you like it but I haven't done anything extraordinary. :o)Just doodling. I have a few tags to make for people and I'm behind. I just hope everyone bears with me for another week. I'm sure I'll feel better by then. I better.
Uncle Jay is really funny today. Enjoy and visit his channel. There's a link in the last Uncle Jay post.
I'm Fascinated With The Buzzards & Never Have My Camera!!
Buzzards are pretty nasty I'm sure we'd all agree. They have a job though and they do it well. It's not a pleasant thing to watch them but I've been dying to get a good picture of them. Not eating their carcass prize but they do this amazing thing where they all (at the same time) spread their wings as far as they can and they all look up to the sky at the same time. It is one of the most beautiful things I've seen (and from such a gross bird!). Since we've raised birds like pheasants, turkey, chickens, chukar, peacocks and we have quail outside right now, I know that all the buzzards are doing when they do this awesome looking pose is drying their wings or cooling off but seeing them all do it at the exact same time is truly amazing. One or two doing it is not that amazing but when you see 10 of them all doing it, some on the ground, some on haystacks and some on fence posts is something to see. And darn it! every time I see it I'm driving and don't have my camera!
Jack-Jack Week 6
When talking about the size of a developing baby, most healthcare providers will discuss the size in terms of `crown-to-rump` length. Crown-to-rump length simply means the distance from the top of the baby's head to its buttocks. Because the baby's legs are usually bent or tucked inwards, crown-to-heel length is hard to determine. By the sixth week of pregnancy, your developing baby is 2 to 4 mm long. You may have even gained a few pounds at this point. However, if you have been nauseated or not eating well you might have lost weight. Which is NOT me since I've not been puking at all!!
From week 6 to week 10 of your pregnancy, you will be in the embryonic period. This is a very important time of development for your baby and the embryo is most suscpetible to experience developmental interferences at this time. Although the embryo is still very small, it is growing and developing rapidly. Your baby's early brain chambers are forming and the eyes are also beginning to form. Buds will appear and will develop into arms and legs in later weeks.
The heart is starting up. The fetus` blood group may be different from your own!
Facial features are visible, including a mouth and tongue. The eyes have a retina and lens.
The digestive system starts forming, beginning with the first cells of the stomach and the intestine.
There are small indentations in the head, ready for the development of facial features, eyes, and ears. The outline of the jaw starts to form.
Dinner And A Brain Fart.
So I'm making dinner. I have a Betty Crocker box of something (because I just discovered them and they are soooo easy!!). I'm looking at the box and I think, "Well this isn't going to be enough." I proceed to open the box, take out a baking dish, look at the box again and then decide to reach for another baking dish. I then take the one box and divide it between the two baking dishes. I'm proud of myself at this point so I go ahead and cover them and pop them in the oven. I go about my whatever I do and all of a sudden it hits me.
I'm such an idiot!
It turned out to be enough. LOL
Jack-Jack Has Joined The Flipper Club!
Today is the first day of my 5th week. Jack-Jack now has flippers! I'm sure he's as cute as an embryo with flippers could possibly be. I still have absolutely no symptoms of being pregnant other then I go to bed a lot earlier and a few days ago I was really tired. Oh, and today my breasteses (lol) are killing me. I have no morning sickness at all! I feel so "not" pregnant that I took another test just to make sure. LOL I got the same fast result. I can't get into the doc until next month but that's okay, I'm not in a hurry for him to b*tch about how much weight I've gained since the last time he saw me. And believe me, he won't hesitate to open his mouth.
Fetal development in pregnancy week 5:embryo in second month The changes to your growing embryo are not quite as drastic this week as they've been in the last few weeks. Growth is now largely focused on their little head, which is starting to develop much more rapidly than the rest of their tiny body. This is because their amazing brain is undergoing some very crucial and rapid development in order to effectively regulate their heart rate, blood circulation, and other vital functions. As for the rest of their miniature body, what were simple limb buds last week are limb flippers this week and the tail is more expressed. Amazingly, within a mere five weeks your little miracle is already developing the rudimentary forms of their liver, pancreas, lungs, stomach and nasal pits while their little heart is already increasing its circulation. Your baby is now a whopping 4-6mm in length.
Check out the flippers!
Jimmy Kimmel Retaliates. LOL
I absolutely love Sarah Silverman. Don't ask me why. The girl is crude and totally vulgar but I just love her. So I'm sure most people who like her have already seen her Video about Matt Damon. Here it is.
Well Jimmy Kimmel (her boyfriend) has made a video of his own. It's great. You have to have a certain sense of humor to enjoy these two so if you don't have that warped sense then you won't enjoy these at all. lmao, I happen to think they are hilarious! I think it's great how Jimmy got all these celebs to do this video.
Week 4 Of Jack-Jack As An Embryo
Fetal development in pregnancy week 4:embryo in first month By the end of this week the round and pointy ends of your little pear-shaped baby will be slightly more exaggerated and their body will look more like that of a miniature manatee. Despite your baby not looking particularly human without any eyes, ears or mouth, the earliest developments of what will become the larynx, internal ear, and eye lens are already forming, although you’d have to be a trained expert to recognize them for what they’re going to be in the future. Likewise, tiny bumps are forming on your little embryo which will eventually be their cute little arms, elbows, fingers, legs, knees and toes. What’s more your little swimmer will have a teeny tiny tail by the end of this week-- but don’t worry, it’s just the end of their developing spinal cord! A microscopic photo would reveal what seems to be their vertebrae filling out the spine and tail. Although they aren’t bones yet, but rather, the “bone seeds” that will give rise to your baby's tiny vertebrae, ribs and sternum.
Duck & Goose & Uncle Jay
This morning I had a few minutes before the kids had to leave for school so I read them this cute book called 'Duck & Goose'. It's the most adorable book! It's written and illustrated by Tad Hills and the illustrations are great.
Here's what the book is about:
“That egg is mine! I saw it first,” says Goose. “I touched it first. It’s mine,” declares Duck.
Like James Marshall’s George and Martha, and Rosemary Wells’s Benjamin and Tulip, Duck and Goose have to work at getting along. You see, Duck doesn’t much care for Goose at first–and Goose isn’t fond of Duck–but both want the egg that each claims to be his. As the two tend to their egg, and make plans for the future, they come to appreciate one another’s strengths. And when a bluebird points out that it isn’t really an egg–it’s a polka dot ball–the two are not dismayed. After all, it is a lovely ball. . . .
Filled with humor that young children will appreciate–and recognize!–and starring two unforgettable characters, Duck & Goose has all the ingredients of a classic-in-the-making.
I would recommend this book 100%. It's really fun.
Mrs. Clinton...Ha!
First I want to say that I like O'bama. I do. Just because I would rather Hillary win does not mean I don't like the guy. To me Hillary has more experience. I think O'bama would do great if he came back in a few years and tried again. But if it gets down to O'bama and McCain then I would prefer O'bama.
What irritates the hell out of me is that the other day while watching 'Morning Joe' there was a woman on there who continued referring to Hillary as Mrs. Clinton yet when she talked about O'bama or McCain she would first say Senator. To me that shows how some people look at her. Why should she not be referred to by Senator also? She worked hard to get that position. The woman used Mrs. Clinton over and over again and not one person at the table questioned her or even seemed to notice. I wanted to reach through the t.v. and strangle her. This is how some ignorant people look at Sen. Clinton. She's a woman and she, not only doesn't deserve to be our Pres., but she doesn't deserve the respect the men receive. I've tried to think that this is not about gender or race but it's really hard. I don't think it's so much about race. I think people are afraid to "touch" that for fear of being labeled a racist. They aren't so worried about being labeled sexist though. People would rather an African American man who is an excellent speaker (yet lacks the experience of a the woman) be voted into office then the woman. We have to remember that African American men were allowed to vote before white women could. By saying that I think people would rather an African American be our leader then a white woman because "the man" is more powerful. (Either that or men just couldn't stand for a woman to hold the position). I don't think they do it knowingly or I'd like to think that there are not that many pigs out there. "Pigs" meaning women also. They think the same way so I'm not just bashing men. Maybe "pigs" is too strong of a word but it's all I can think of right now.
I mean look at how Hillary is questioned non-stop at the debates. The media jumps on every word she says, her mannerisms, her clothing and her laugh. Ridiculous. O'bama dodges questions or gives a witty "I'm not going there." and that's okay. People look at him for being dignified because he won't "stoop to her level" but I really think all he's doing is being evasive...not dignified. I'm really irritated about this loud mouth pastor friend of his. So what, he is no longer on the campaign. Don't tell me that a man who is your "spiritual advisor", who married you and your wife and christened your children and who mentors you in your personal life does not have an influence on you and how you think. Yea, I buy that.
Crankiness~Spring Carnival~Kindergarten Registration
I forgot how irritable I could be when I'm pregnant. I think I've threatened bodily harm on everyone from The Hubbs, both children and even the dogs. I've had evil thoughts about old people driving cars...well, that part is normal. LOL I've pretty much been sleeping since Thursday afternoon. Yesterday I woke up long enough to eat some green beans and yell at everyone in the house because they were too loud or arguing or "why must cartoons be on all day" or because I heard breathing. I scared myself even. This morning started out cranky as well. "Why am I the only person awake in the house????"....Umm, maybe because I've been sleeping for almost two days! After I got dressed I felt better and happier. We took the kids to the spring carnival. That was a lot of fun. They played a lot of games and ate (should I say wore) a lot of cotton candy. My little nephew and niece were there so it was nice to see them. Here are some pictures of the fun they had. :o)
Lilly, Bella and Evan doing the cake walk. I threatened them to win the peanut butter pie or they would have to walk home. LOL They didn't win. We gave them a ride home anyway. I've never had peanut butter pie but it looked awesome! I don't need any pie though. I'm being good.
Evan went and took his kindergarten test to see if he is ready for kindergarten. I think he did great and went above what they asked of him. Now he just has to take the test to see if he's mentally ready for it all. He's going to be five only a few weeks after school starts but they want to check his little brain because he won't be five at the time school starts. I hope he makes it in because he's totally bored out here in the stix when Bella isn't home. Here's the picture of him when he was done with his kindergarten test. They gave him the book 'Froggy Goes To School'...he said to them, "Don't you have any other books? I already have two of these at home." LOL We bought it for Izabella before she started school and when she went to her kindergarten test they gave her another one. :) Oh well. We have back-ups now.
So here's my little man with his marine cut. LOL I take him to an old-fashioned barber who puts wax on his hair and gives him the perfect little marine cuts. :o)
Wow.
Sheriff: Woman Sat on Toilet for 2 Years
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities are considering charges in the bizarre case of a woman who stayed in her boyfriend's bathroom for two years, spending most of her time on the toilet — so that her body was stuck to the seat by the time the man finally called police.
It appeared the 35-year-old Ness City woman's skin had grown around the seat, said Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple. The woman initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital.
"We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital," Whipple said. "The hospital removed it."
Whipple said investigators planned to present their report Wednesday to the county attorney, who will determine whether any charges should be filed against the boyfriend.
"She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body," Whipple said. "It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself."
Police declined to release the couple's names, but the boyfriend, Kory McFarren, agreed to be interviewed Wednesday by The Associated Press. He identified his girlfriend as Pam Babcock.
McFarren, 36, told investigators he took Babcock food and water and asked her every day to come out of the bathroom.
"And her reply would be, 'Maybe tomorrow,'" Whipple said. "According to him, she did not want to leave the bathroom."
McFarren told the AP that he wasn't to blame, and that it was solely Babcock's choice to remain in the bathroom.
"She is an adult; she made her own decision. It was my fault I should have gotten help for her sooner; I admit that. But after a while, you kind of get used to it," McFarren said.
Although authorities said they think Babcock was in the bathroom for two years, McFarren said he wasn't certain how long she stayed there. He said she had a phobia about leaving the room because of childhood beatings.
"It just kind of happened one day. She went in and had been in there a little while, the next time it was a little longer. Then she got it in her head she was going to stay — like it was a safe place for her," McFarren said.
But McFarren said Babcock moved around in the bathroom during that time, bathed and changed into the clothes he brought her. He said they conversed and had an otherwise normal relationship — except that it all happened in the bathroom.
McFarren, who works at an antique store, said he has been taking care of Babcock for the 16 years they have lived together.
McFarren called police on Feb. 27 to report that "there was something wrong with his girlfriend," Whipple said.
Police found Babcock clothed and sitting on the toilet, her sweat pants down to her mid-thigh. She was "somewhat disoriented," and her legs looked as if they had atrophied, Whipple said.
"She said that she didn't need any help, that she was OK and did not want to leave," he said.
She was reported in fair condition at a hospital in Wichita, about 150 miles southeast of Ness City. Whipple said she refused to cooperate with medical providers or law enforcement investigators.
McFarren said that his girlfriend has an infection in her legs that has damaged her nerves, and that she has no feeling in her legs. She may wind up in a wheelchair, he said.
Authorities said they did not know whether she was mentally or physically disabled.
The case has been the buzz of Ness City, said James Ellis, a neighbor.
"I don't think anybody can make any sense out of it," he said.
Ellis said he had known the woman since she was a child but that he had not seen her for at least six years.
He said she had a tough childhood after her mother died at a young age and apparently was usually kept inside the house as she grew up. At one time the woman worked for a long-term care facility, he said, but he did not know what kind of work she did there.
"It really doesn't surprise me," Ellis said. "What surprises me is somebody wasn't called in a bit earlier."
Can't We All Just Get Along?
Uncle Jay Explains YouTube Channel
Please Just Go Ahead and Flush This Day Down the Toilet Already.
I haven't blogged for a day or so. Not much has been going on until today and I can't blog about it without my temp rising. Let's just say I quit smoking over 6 years ago and I don't drink enough to say I drink but today I could have easily puffed down an entire pack of Virgina Slim Menthols and had a nice stiff drink...or two. Today sucked beyond the point of sucking. Nothing with the Hubbs or the kids. Just crap in general. I like to think I'm far from being a violent person but I would love to haul off and *&^ someones *(^%$ down their *&%*@#.
Yikes!
That sounds really bad. Either way, I had a few Alley McBeal moments today for sure.
Hallelujah!! Tomorrow is another day.
Jesus had to be with me to get me through this day. I give him credit for me not killing people.
Garlic Bread Disaster
DH picked the kids up from school yesterday. Izabella's had an early dismissal d/t the snow. So he decided to hit Wal-Mart before coming home to pick up a few things. He comes home and the kids can't wait to tell me that I get to do nothing because Daddy and them are going to make me dinner. I bit of dread comes over me at that point. I don't know why but it did. So they make the meal and in the middle of it there is a knock at the door DH answers it, ends up pointing in all different directions while this couple is doing the same. The kids run off to their rooms and I'm suddenly alone thinking, Ok what about the dinner that is cooking? So I go in the kitchen and check on this, finish that....nobody came back. Garlic bread was sitting on the counter so I decided to pop in in the oven. People start appearing again and ask me what I'm doing in the kitchen because they are the ones cooking...yeah, it looks like it. DH and I are in the kitchen talking about a lost dog (which is what all the finger pointing was about). I just get to the part where I hope they find their dog because it's such a horrible night out when I see black smoke start to pour out of the oven. It's the garlic bread! It was black. The one thing that I did burned to a crisp! LOL I heard about it all night.
My Thursday Meeting With The School.
Last week was Kindergarten registration week. Evan is only 4 but I went to sign him up because he's my kid and he's REALLY smart...of course he is, his mother's a freakin' genius. lol Ok, I wouldn't go as far as saying that but the real reason I went to sign him up is because his birthday is Aug. 25th. To get into kindergarten your birthday must be at an earlier date in Aug. (can't remember the exact date). I'm not pushing him and I'm sure some of my mommy friends will say that I am but he already knows alot. He can do easy addition (1+1, 3+4), he can recognize his name and wrights his full name...this is all stuff they don't teach until Kindergarten. He will be totally bored in pre-school another year. This year they learned colors and shapes! He knew that two years ago. Every child entering kindergarten has to take the test but Evan will be taking an additional test that will make sure he's ready emotionally. Some kids are fast learners but are still not emotionally ready. He's only taking this extra test d/t his age.
Okay, so back to the test morning. I signed him up on Tuesday morning and made an appointment for Thursday morning for him to test, so that gave me Wednesday to run around like a mad woman trying to get updated shot records, birth certificate and a million other things I had to do on Wednesday. Some things had to be done. I had a parent/teacher conference at the pre-school, Mimi had to be picked up from the vet, I had to go to the bank, the store, pay a bill or two and back to the store. I had to go to the health dept to get the birth certificate...and btw, it's WAY too easy for anyone to walk in there and get a birth certificate. I finally get home and have to leave again to pick Izabella up but then I'm DONE! The next morning DH is home and I have to get everyone ready because our testing appointment is early. So I'm rushing everyone, getting cranky because I shouldn't have to tell DH to get dressed as much as I tell the kids to! So we finally get out the door on time and we're on our way. We walk into the school, kiss Izabella goodbye while she goes to her class and head to the office. We get there, we wait. The secretary finally shows up and says, "Weren't you guys just here." I said, "Yes, the day before yesterday and I haven't stopped since." Then she says, "Did you need something else?" I said that we were hear for Evan's testing and that's when she tells me the testing is NEXT Thursday!
"You're Gonna Learn To Respect Me!"
This video is unbelievable! I would love to spend 5 minutes with this woman! What the heck is wrong with her? How can she do that to a child (maybe even her own child!)? Really, some people should get tested before they have kids. You should be made to take a psych test before bringing kids into this world for the good of the child. Unbelievable.
More Snow Coming (Give Me A Break Already!!!)...And A Bling
Lovely. Another flippin storm coming. Crazy. Just crazy. WTH? Hopefully this is the last one of the year? I doubt it. The kids already have to make up 3 snow days this summer. That isn't so bad I guess and it's not even that. I don't care if the kids are home with me every single day (ok, that may be a bit much) but it's not the kids being home; it's the snow falling from the sky. It's only pretty and enjoyable on Christmas day. There really is no need for it any other day of the year.
Ok, so here's a heart bling I made tonight. I was just messing around but I hate to trash it so I'll share it. Here's what it looks like.
The Secret Life Of A Soccer Mom...
The Secret Life of a Soccer Mom will be showing on TLC on Mondays. It looks like it's going to be very interesting to watch. It takes mothers back to the life/job they would have had had they not taken the path they have taken to lead them where they are now. They will be able to "go back in time" and take the other path and see how that would have worked out. I'm sure some mothers long for the path that they did not take but would also never give up what they now have.
The show is hosted by Tracey Gold (Kirk Cameron's little sister in 'Growing Pains') and you can preview the show and get the schedule here.
Chop Chop!
While eating my cranberry, walnut and grilled chicken salad from Bob Evans today (TMI I know but it's really good people), I had a sudden urge to cut my hair. DH said maybe tomorrow but I didn't want to wait so when we came home I handed him the scissors and said "Do it". You know guys, they act like they have no clue about something so they can get out of it so after he fumbled and complained the scissors were too dull I took them and finished the job. All of a sudden he says, "Just pay to have someone do it!" Muah-ha-ha...no! By then I was already in the midst of it. I saved myself some money (because I'm frugal like that LOL) and it doesn't look so bad. I may have it redone when I go to get my color done but who really cares. It's just a simple cut that you don't have to be real intelligent or talented to do.
So here it is.
Ahh! I feel so much better.
