Dinner And A Brain Fart.

So I'm making dinner. I have a Betty Crocker box of something (because I just discovered them and they are soooo easy!!). I'm looking at the box and I think, "Well this isn't going to be enough." I proceed to open the box, take out a baking dish, look at the box again and then decide to reach for another baking dish. I then take the one box and divide it between the two baking dishes. I'm proud of myself at this point so I go ahead and cover them and pop them in the oven. I go about my whatever I do and all of a sudden it hits me.
I'm such an idiot!
It turned out to be enough. LOL

Jack-Jack Has Joined The Flipper Club!

Today is the first day of my 5th week. Jack-Jack now has flippers! I'm sure he's as cute as an embryo with flippers could possibly be. I still have absolutely no symptoms of being pregnant other then I go to bed a lot earlier and a few days ago I was really tired. Oh, and today my breasteses (lol) are killing me. I have no morning sickness at all! I feel so "not" pregnant that I took another test just to make sure. LOL I got the same fast result. I can't get into the doc until next month but that's okay, I'm not in a hurry for him to b*tch about how much weight I've gained since the last time he saw me. And believe me, he won't hesitate to open his mouth.

Fetal development in pregnancy week 5:embryo in second month The changes to your growing embryo are not quite as drastic this week as they've been in the last few weeks. Growth is now largely focused on their little head, which is starting to develop much more rapidly than the rest of their tiny body. This is because their amazing brain is undergoing some very crucial and rapid development in order to effectively regulate their heart rate, blood circulation, and other vital functions. As for the rest of their miniature body, what were simple limb buds last week are limb flippers this week and the tail is more expressed. Amazingly, within a mere five weeks your little miracle is already developing the rudimentary forms of their liver, pancreas, lungs, stomach and nasal pits while their little heart is already increasing its circulation. Your baby is now a whopping 4-6mm in length.

Check out the flippers!

Jimmy Kimmel Retaliates. LOL

I absolutely love Sarah Silverman. Don't ask me why. The girl is crude and totally vulgar but I just love her. So I'm sure most people who like her have already seen her Video about Matt Damon. Here it is.

Well Jimmy Kimmel (her boyfriend) has made a video of his own. It's great. You have to have a certain sense of humor to enjoy these two so if you don't have that warped sense then you won't enjoy these at all. lmao, I happen to think they are hilarious! I think it's great how Jimmy got all these celebs to do this video.

Week 4 Of Jack-Jack As An Embryo

Fetal development in pregnancy week 4:embryo in first month By the end of this week the round and pointy ends of your little pear-shaped baby will be slightly more exaggerated and their body will look more like that of a miniature manatee. Despite your baby not looking particularly human without any eyes, ears or mouth, the earliest developments of what will become the larynx, internal ear, and eye lens are already forming, although you’d have to be a trained expert to recognize them for what they’re going to be in the future. Likewise, tiny bumps are forming on your little embryo which will eventually be their cute little arms, elbows, fingers, legs, knees and toes. What’s more your little swimmer will have a teeny tiny tail by the end of this week-- but don’t worry, it’s just the end of their developing spinal cord! A microscopic photo would reveal what seems to be their vertebrae filling out the spine and tail. Although they aren’t bones yet, but rather, the “bone seeds” that will give rise to your baby's tiny vertebrae, ribs and sternum.

Duck & Goose & Uncle Jay

This morning I had a few minutes before the kids had to leave for school so I read them this cute book called 'Duck & Goose'. It's the most adorable book! It's written and illustrated by Tad Hills and the illustrations are great.

Here's what the book is about:

“That egg is mine! I saw it first,” says Goose. “I touched it first. It’s mine,” declares Duck.
Like James Marshall’s George and Martha, and Rosemary Wells’s Benjamin and Tulip, Duck and Goose have to work at getting along. You see, Duck doesn’t much care for Goose at first–and Goose isn’t fond of Duck–but both want the egg that each claims to be his. As the two tend to their egg, and make plans for the future, they come to appreciate one another’s strengths. And when a bluebird points out that it isn’t really an egg–it’s a polka dot ball–the two are not dismayed. After all, it is a lovely ball. . . .
Filled with humor that young children will appreciate–and recognize!–and starring two unforgettable characters, Duck & Goose has all the ingredients of a classic-in-the-making.

I would recommend this book 100%. It's really fun.

Mrs. Clinton...Ha!

First I want to say that I like O'bama. I do. Just because I would rather Hillary win does not mean I don't like the guy. To me Hillary has more experience. I think O'bama would do great if he came back in a few years and tried again. But if it gets down to O'bama and McCain then I would prefer O'bama.
What irritates the hell out of me is that the other day while watching 'Morning Joe' there was a woman on there who continued referring to Hillary as Mrs. Clinton yet when she talked about O'bama or McCain she would first say Senator. To me that shows how some people look at her. Why should she not be referred to by Senator also? She worked hard to get that position. The woman used Mrs. Clinton over and over again and not one person at the table questioned her or even seemed to notice. I wanted to reach through the t.v. and strangle her. This is how some ignorant people look at Sen. Clinton. She's a woman and she, not only doesn't deserve to be our Pres., but she doesn't deserve the respect the men receive. I've tried to think that this is not about gender or race but it's really hard. I don't think it's so much about race. I think people are afraid to "touch" that for fear of being labeled a racist. They aren't so worried about being labeled sexist though. People would rather an African American man who is an excellent speaker (yet lacks the experience of a the woman) be voted into office then the woman. We have to remember that African American men were allowed to vote before white women could. By saying that I think people would rather an African American be our leader then a white woman because "the man" is more powerful. (Either that or men just couldn't stand for a woman to hold the position). I don't think they do it knowingly or I'd like to think that there are not that many pigs out there. "Pigs" meaning women also. They think the same way so I'm not just bashing men. Maybe "pigs" is too strong of a word but it's all I can think of right now.

I mean look at how Hillary is questioned non-stop at the debates. The media jumps on every word she says, her mannerisms, her clothing and her laugh. Ridiculous. O'bama dodges questions or gives a witty "I'm not going there." and that's okay. People look at him for being dignified because he won't "stoop to her level" but I really think all he's doing is being evasive...not dignified. I'm really irritated about this loud mouth pastor friend of his. So what, he is no longer on the campaign. Don't tell me that a man who is your "spiritual advisor", who married you and your wife and christened your children and who mentors you in your personal life does not have an influence on you and how you think. Yea, I buy that.
